Kymco - a brand of Taiwanese manufacturer of scooters, motorbikes, quads and ATVs Kwang Yang Motor Co, Ltd
Kwang Yang Motor Company, or KYMCO for short, was founded in 1963 in cooperation with Honda Corporation. For 30 years until 1993 KYMCO was a manufacturer of motorbikes and scooters under license from Honda and a supplier of motorbike, engine and car parts for Honda's Japanese factories.
Since 1993 all of the company's vehicles have been branded KYMCO, but KYMCO's technology is closely based on Honda's. Today KYMCO is Taiwan's largest manufacturer of scooters, motorbikes and parts for Honda cars and Honda motorbikes and ATVs. In 1998, the factory's accumulated production reached 6 million units.
